Goddammit Mollie

Burden me.   Peanut. 22. I am the canary.

This is my most recent (but surely not going to be my last) tattoo. It’s on my right forearm. It looks huge, but it’s really not as big as it seems. Photos can be misleading. The tattoo is of a nautilus shell, which for me not only represents my love of nature and the sea but of the Golden Ratio/Divine Proportion. Math has always been a leading factor in my life, and the idea of the Golden Ratio and mathematical beauty has always fascinated me.
I contemplated just getting the actual golden ration symbol for a while, but I feel that the nautilus represents so much more.

This is my other finger tattoo. It’s on my left index finger on the outside. It reads “In cauda venenum”. It means “the venom’s in the tail”, which means the worst is yet to come. I’m a huge pessimist, yet I believe that once the worst has come you go through a rebirth as a person. So I look forward to the worst that’s on its way, knowing I’ll change from it. It also is the name of a song from my favorite band “The Dear Hunter”.
Unfortunately the artist didn’t go deep enough with the needle, so all that’s legible now is “In cauda”. I’ll most likely get it touched up.
and yes….that’s neopets in the background.

This is my first tattoo. I got it done when I was 18 with my best friend by my side. It was kind of awesome, because I got to watch Step Brothers while getting it done. Downside, completely overpriced, but it was my first. I wanted a sun and moon design ever since I was eleven. Part of the reason was because my cousin had a tattoo similar and another reason was because I always felt a deep connection with the moon, but knew it would be nothing without the sun. They coincide with each other perfectly.

This tattoo is on my left wrist, and is the opposite of the bird I have on my right wrist. I was supposed to get this done on a Wednesday, but had to cancel because that was the day I checked into the hospital. It needs to be touched up, but I absolutely love the red bird and how she stands out. For me, it represents a “purer” side of me. The good and the colour.

Ohh and that’s my Never Take it Off Bracelet! Made by Juliet Simms from Automatic Loveletter! The beads all fell off but I keep twisting the string so it stays on.

This is my blackbird on my right wrist. I got it done a week before I checked myself into a mental hospital for attempted suicide and mental deterioration. For some it seems cliche but to me it represents the beauty in darkness. It’s the “dark” side of me. My favorite part of this tattoo is that in the middle of the bird my skin scarred and it looks like he has a wing.

This is probably my favorite tattoo that I have. It’s on my right index finger on the inside. To me, it not only represents protection but reminds me to “aim my arrows high”. It also shows my loyalty as a Versa Vulture. <3
